My husband and I stayed here last night ( we attended the Simple Minds concert at the Festhalle next door). It’s a great location if you’re at a gig or attending a messe and approx a mile from the central station. The hotel itself is quite large, 8 floors, and has a very airy lobby area. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bar was a little overwhelmed when we all got back last night but, to be fair, that’s to be expected (although an extra body or two behind the bar for the initial rush would be a good idea). We had the breakfast which was great; it’s 26€ but you absolutely get what you pay for. What sets this hotel apart though is the staff, they are all, without exception, utterly wonderful. If management are reading this I’d like to specifically mention Ospina & Adrian on reception and Arthur in the restaurant, they all went above and beyond for us and are the reason we’ll be rebooking here in the summer. If you’re staying in Frankfurt I absolutely recommend The Maritim.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained, simple and not very noisy! All the basic necessities are included and the rate offered for me was including the breakfast buffet. I like the coffee shop located at the ground floor with good bakeries. I also enjoyed the little showcase with limited selection of writ watches and happy with the discount price. Good to take one for memory. The hotel location is very ideal to reach the convention center and taxis are always around. Service across the hotel is limited and they have English speaking helpful staff.

Major trade fair at the Messe so we decided to stay here because of the location. That's it, the location is the one great thing about this hotel, everything else is pretty much below average. The rooms are dated, the towels in the bathrooms are ridiculously small, the bar was closed, the service is OK and during the fair, it's hugely expensive. As I say, "It is what it is"!!

With regards to our recent stay we have never been so disappointed or rudely treated as we were earlier this week. We were a group of ten ( two bookings of five), we occupied rooms 104, 106, 121,123 for two night on the 18th & 19th . On our arrival to your hotel, we were very rudely directed to sit in the lobby as an alarm had been activated, we were left for a good thirty minutes with no explanation as to what was happening. We did start to panic, wondering what the problem was & if we needed to find another hotel. Eventually the alarm stopped & we proceeded to check in. We asked at reception what the problem was to be told it was a fire drill. None of the group had an issue with that as its something that just simply has to be done, however a simple apology or explanation would be common courtesy. We left our bags in our rooms & proceeded to the Christmas Markets, we decided that afternoon that we would have our evening meal in the hotel. We returned to the hotel around 5/ 5.30 & asked at reception to be directed to the bar/ restaurant for dinner to be told that everywhere was closed as it was the night of the staff Christmas Party. We were directed to go to the Marriott Hotel across the road. Now I would ask you to keep in mind that the youngest of our group was only 5 years old. At that stage between the early flight & the walking around the Christmas markets everyone was very tired, I really can't see why this could not have been explained to us when we checked in & we could have made other arrangements. Okay we put day one down to a bad experience & hoped the rest of our stay would go smoothly. 8.30 the next morning there was a knock on the door (room 106) which disturbed us as we were still sleeping, next the door opened & and then someone shouted housekeeping .Really????? Extremely inappropriate at that time in the morning. I would like to point out that this also happened at room 123 on the morning we were all due to check out which I really can't understand as the room would have to cleaned later for guests to check in after our checkout. So, we decided that we would have our dinner in the hotel the second night as again the kids were tired & it would be easiest to eat & then let them go straight to bed. Should have been simple, but no of course not. Informed at reception that the hotel restaurant was closed for a private party!!! We just said ok that can we eat at the bar?? Of course, we were told no problem. Now let's be honest, the hotel bar is a little area in the lobby stuck under the escalator & quite cold at that. We proceeded to the bar area. I noticed at the high tables they all had reserved signs which was quite obviously for a company Christmas party we proceeded to the lower tables for the bar man to run after us to tell us we couldn't sit there ( restaurant was empty with exception of one other table for the wholoe time we were there so cant understand why it was such a big deal to seat us). He directed us back to the high tables & I pointed to the reserved sign, but he said go ahead. The person that had reserved those tables then came over to the barman to claim his tables which he was right to do. Okay so eventually we are sitting in the empty bar restaurant & we order our food & drinks. Now I will say we all thought the food was lovely but unfortunately not hot. Would also like to note that the desserts were beautiful. Disappointed that there are no children's options for dessert, you have main meals for them so you can't say you don't cater for them. So, my husband asks for the bill to be told he has to go to the bar to pay. A bit strange, normally your bill is brought to the table. So, the two gentlemen in our group went to the bar & paid the bill. They are not offered a receipt or any kind of breakdown for the bill which was €448.00 approx. just given the total amount. Now we had no dispute over the price of the bill, but we should have been given a receipt. Glad to have checked out on our final day, great that we were able to store our luggage as we had a late flight home. Unfortunately, when we got to the check-in line for our flight we realized that two passports had been left in the hotel room safe. Mr. Glennon jumped into a taxi & his daughter Susan rang reception to explain what had happened & that he was on the way back to the hotel. Unfortunately when he returned he found the staff extremely unhelpful & no urgency to help him given that he had a taxi outside waiting to bring him back to the airport they actually proceeded to check in guests that had arrived after him. Now we understand that it had nothing at all to do with the hotel it was an error on our part that they were forgotten but your customer service really leaves a lot to be desired. Inconclusion all of the group agree that our stay was far from satisfactory & had a big impact on our trip to Germany. Also worth noting rooms are unbelievably warm. No thermostat fitted in the bathrooms so water is scalding. No iron, bathrobe slippers etc. Everything has to be requested at reception, ridiculous for a four star hotel.
